Why I Left Facebook

It was not an easy decision.

I want to be connected to you people I care about.

I want to randomly laugh out loud at the funny things you post.

I want to share pictures of kids picking up pumpkins and the photo bombing cat.

I do not want to be critical, judgmental or irritated at people or at Facebook.

I realized ,that for me, the joy Facebook gave was significantly out of proportion to peace it took from me.  I need peace and calm, what many call ‘serenity’.  I am missing it some, but I am not missing the feelings it brought out in me.

I desire to be truly connect to you people….

…would you like a pumpkin?

I have plenty.

Not happy with the way people have chosen to use Facebook and don’t like the changes Facebook has made. I may soon be following in your tracks. Glad to stay connected on your blog, of course!

I am glad we stay connected as well! I know we always will.

      Thank you Dear John….
      Hope to see you soon.

You know I have never commented on your awesome blogs despite my absolute love for you and of your humorous, laugh-a-loud posts. This is first! I have never been on any social media (so I guess I can’t miss it) and fully applaud your move. Genuine, true caring means we will stay connected! True connection, true empathy, true effort and investment… preferably over wine, cheese and setting sun! You are worth it!! Aren’t we all? 💕

I left too. FB users have been hacked, FB has been pushing banks to give it our banking info, etc etc.

Exactly, not what I’d signed up for….
      Thanks for staying in touch!

    Hello there Ellen,
I agree with you and am certainly thinking of doing so myself. My sister in Mt. has now moved to Grand Junction and I hope to see her next year, but she has ‘binned’ f/b/too.
Anyway lots of water under the bridge – I do enjoy reading your blog and I hope ‘that cat’ (the tortie) is now a house cat!
