The Bassinet

We’ve been getting the bassinet ready, but we’re hardly the first to do so.

In 1948 my Grandfather gives the bassinet a coat of paint for his first grandchild.

You must be getting very excited. When is the grandchild actually due?

    • Ellen February 19, 2014, 6:49 am

July 8 is the due date, but Steph is a little thing and her mom always came early….so I keep thinking that it will be on Pat’s birthday!

A busy summer with weddings and babies!

I love reading your blog, and I absolutely love it when you add old family photos – they always make me smile! But they also often make me teary eyed too. However, I’m always smiling at the same time, because they remind me of some great memories. I didn’t comment on your family photo that you recently used – but I absolutely loved seeing that one! Love, Sue

I too had a bassinet just like that for both my babies. Such a special time you are having, Ellen. I am happy for your joy. You and your loving spouse will make incredible grandparents!

Ellen, It is fun to read your blog…I have a basinette that looks EXACTLY like yours..and it held my babies too! It is up in my attic now waiting for the next generation. I enjoy the happy spirit of you & Pat’s adventure on your farm and with your family. Thanks for sharing with us all. Diane (Del’s wife)

Diane, SO fun to have you along! Our bassinet’s become more special with each new baby, I think! Thank you for your kind words! Ellen
