We have a hunch that Our Friend the Farmer’s cattle dog has been teasing our dog Zoe. The Cattle Dog rides on the back of Our Friend the Farmer’s ‘bike’, when he is not herding cattle. (Just for the record, let’s all remember that ‘bikes’ are tools not toys!) It is not uncommon to see Our Friend the Farmer go zipping by our house on his bike with The Cattle Dog sitting smugly behind him. I will admit, that although I do not speak dog, I am sure The Cattle Dog has been telling our lab Zoe, that she is not really a farm dog. Something has gotten into her lately and we can only sum it up to…peer pressure.
Zoe insists on helping to feed the other animals and races me out to the barn to do so. As soon as I turn the bike on…well, my Farm Dog is there…ready to roll…it is cattle feeding time.
Doing chores on the ‘bike’ is work, okay…fun work. Doing chores on the ‘bike’ with my dog…well, that is…even better!
THat is SO cute. Her tail is wagging up a storm. What a good farm dog!
She hears the bike start and she is on it!
That’s not teasing, that’s training! Glad you have lots of chores to keep you busy instead of rattling around a nearly empty house.
Thanks Dear John,
My most contented, uplifting time of the day is out feeding the animals… I am blessed.
