Watering Pods

With My Loving Spouse recovering from THE knee, he has spent most of the time down, not ‘up’.  When ‘up’, he has had a lot of time to surf the net on his iPad, researching horse training, Guinea Hogs, knee replacement operations, Go-Pro cameras, pony carts, and pod watering systems, just to name a few.  I was in favor of the watering pods as we have needed to have a more efficient and cost-effective method of irrigating the land we have.  After of few days of his research and cussing at the on-line salesmen who couldn’t-wouldn’t ‘answer a straight question’, I shot down to the local irrigation guru and picked up a sprinkler system on steroids.  This system can be moved easily with the ‘bike’ and it can be used around the animals, which served most of our concerns.  All we needed to do was put it together…it would be ‘easy’ and only take two days.

Stretching 300 feet of pipe to relax it.

Helped out of course by a cat!

The instructions I am sure were easy, if we could have read them! The only legible item said, "Now start watering..."

We had 5 pods to build...

Luckily it was fairly simple, and My Loving Spouse had done his research.

Luckily Someone had done his research.

..but before too long, we did have one completely together.

We'd figured that My Loving Spouse could sit in the loader of Blue to put the pods together. The loader slowly relaxes/sinks, so every 10 minutes or so, I had to start up the tractor and raise My Loving Spouse back up to a 'working' level for THE knee.

All ready for being moved with the ‘bike’.

Inspected by Bob...we are ready to irrigate!

Good teamwork! Now you can check one more thing off the list!

I want to see these things working. And I never knew pipe needed to be relaxed. Although I certainly feel more relaxed after a good stretching. 🙂 Hope your project is a “sprinkling” success.
