True confessions…I am easily sad these days. I am working hard to remember that feeling sad is okay. With My Girl on the other side of the world, my role in life is moving from mother to grandmother. I am working hard to remember that feeling sad honors the love for the one that is ‘leaving’, growing, changing. The sadness is mingled with delight as I am cleaning out her room (the squirrel’s nest)* and reorganizing it my way. It is an odd collection of feelings…and my soul has felt tired…
I work at an elementary school with lots of little people. It is spirit week. A week for spirit and a bit of fun, but I did not really want to ‘play’…
Crazy Hair day…I’ll pass…except My Librarian was in the spirit and I had a realization…it is not all about me. We work with kids and there may be one of them that needs to see my playful spirit…I needed to get it together. Luckily, I did know exactly where my box of Halloween supplies were… Spirit week…I might have missed it.Some of the kids were funny…like the 5th grade boy with a diaper on his head…and some of them were sweet…like the 4th grade boy who spiked his hair using maple syrup! They were all there with eyes wide open to see who was playing along…and I am glad I did.
Today is pajama day… Cow jammies…check!

I am betting that all those pray-ers from 1 to 31 not only pray for Laura but pray for you also. Sorry to hear about the floors. Perhaps someone has had this issue before and has invented dog slippers that clean your floors as they frolic about. Or maybe there is a patent in your future?
Thank you friend…
I am thinking of inventing a dog door device that sucks dirt off of them as they pass through it!
I am planning some therapeutic sewing today!
You could go on “Let’s Make a Deal ” with the stuff you cleaned out!
Sorry your spirit is muted. Totally get it. It does eventually get easier. Skyping and and texting help a lot to keep connected. Any news from her?
Thanks Mims…
I hope to hear something…(Good) this weekend.
In the mean time I have the Grand dogs here and it is raining…so I have very, very muddy floors.
hugs,
