Facebook in the Country

Facebook usage in the country is no different from anywhere else…I think.  There are Facebook groups for organizations and like-minded people just like there are in the city.  The topics might be different…but for the most part it is a sharing of information…fbpc7Sometimes a warning…

fbpc5

Very often the opportunity for ‘free’ stuff…from one to another…fbpc4

The search for advice…fbpc3Keeping an eye on everyone and attempting to be helpful…fbpc2A place to advertise…fbpc6You can even look for others to help reduce the cost of shipping almost anything!fbpc1…because sharing is caring…

Oh Ellen. I read these everyday and don’t think much…but WOW we are FUNNY! You know what my favorite small town thing to read is? The Police Blotter in the paper. Oh boy. It’s a doozy!
Thanks so very much for coming to get a tree. It is always so nice to see you and Pat. AND…I am so, so excited to try the Courgette Chutney. I am holding back and saving it for New Years day and serving it on toasted baguette and cream cheese. Yum! Thanks so much for thinking of us:)

      Oh Julia,
The tree is beautiful! New Year’s day will be a great time to try the chutney…If you end up liking it, I can give you a recipe for canning next year… It is great for those zucchini’s that tend to get TOO big! I try to not let them, but you know a few still sneak through!
      Merry Christmas,
      Ellen

FB is certainly different in the country! Never in a million years would anyone down here ask to share shipping costs on pig semen…. that actually sounds like a skit on SNL.

Maybe I could write for SNL!

Ellen, you have an entire sitcom happening up there! It could be a new and much improved “Green Acres”.
