May you be blessed by a bit of humor and hope…
…and a good cow picture.
That Agnes, she sure loves going to the prom! She has been a great breeder. Can’t wait to see blooming iris!!
Diane,
It is so different here! The Iris are crazy hardy, a bit like agapantha. No more delicately splitting them and transferring them, I whack them with a shovel!
Agnes says ‘hi’.
They are looking good. Talking about freezer shots, I recently bought a pack of chicken legs from the local (Mom & Pop) store and when I got to the till (checkout) I couldn’t resist asking the very young (to me) girl if they were front or back legs. ‘I’ll go and ask Sir’ she said brightly… when she came back she glared at me and said ‘NOT funny’ …The things one does when you’re still looking for things to make one’s day…
Oh, that makes me laugh!!! Thank you for sharing that!! I can’t wait to go and tell Pat that one!
Two remaining cows fattening up for your next slaughter season? Good for you, you switched out the barbed-wire fence with livestock fence! Iris needed a pruning anyways! Love those town boots too!
Thanks, Terri,
Actually, Agnes is bred again, so she’ll complete her most important job.
Giggle… giggle…. giggle… The writing style and pictures remind me of a beloved child’s book… except the freezer shots! Poor child would have nightmares! Thanks for the laugh!
You, my friend, are so welcome!
